The Boston area offers many amazing options for outdoor family photos with your baby.

Three of my personal favorite Boston area family photo locations are the Boston Public Gardens, Bird Park in Walpole and Rexhame Beach in Marshfield MA.

The Boston Public Gardens

This location is a favorite with my city families. It is a large park offering many areas to photograph in along with the iconic bridge. Another big advantage of this location is that it is typically less crowded and has beautiful light in the morning which is a time of day that works well for younger babies and children.

Bird Park in Walpole

Located about 30 minutes south of Boston and convenient to metro west and the south shore, this park offers easy parking, beautiful fall foliage, paths, bridges and field areas. Sessions are scheduled at this location in the afternoon, 1-2 hours before sunset.

Rexhame Beach in Marshfield MA

This south shore beach is one of the few beaches close to Boston offering beach grass, sand dunes, plenty of beach even at high tide and ample non resident parking.

Beach sessions are scheduled an hour before sunset, with the earlier sunset times in September and early October being ideal for babies with earlier bedtimes.
