A: I do not ask you to follow an elaborate prep guide, keep baby awake or withhold feedings. The most important thing to me on session day is that you are relaxed and enjoy the experience. Baby will pick up on your energy. If you are relaxed baby will be relaxed which is truly what is most important for a successful session. I have everything needed to photograph your baby and will wrap and sooth them if needed. Every baby is different and I will follow your babies cues in terms of how they are most comfortable and we will take breaks as needed for feedings.

Q: What is required of me on the day of my newborn photography session?

A: As your newborn photographer, it is my job to help you feel comfortable and beautiful! Most of my clients are not professional models and even professional models are not experts at posing while pregnant. I will guide you every step of the way!

Q: I am interested in a maternity session but I have no idea how to pose and am afraid it will be awkward.

A: Retouching of all final images is included. My goal when editing is for you to look like your authentic self but your best self. Blemishes, blotchiness and any other temporary skin issues are blended away. Any small problem areas are lifted, tucked and smoothed as needed. Basically any distractions are minimized so you can fully appreciate the true beauty of the moment we are capturing.

Q: Is retouching included? Will our photos be heavily edited?

A: Immediate family is welcome at all signature sessions. Dogs are important members of the family and are welcome at the studio, in home or outdoors. If grandparents are visiting at the time of your newborn photography session I am happy to include them.

Q: Are sibling/family pictures included? Can grandparents be included?

A: Always!

Q: Can my dog be included?

A: My studio address is 37 Fairfield Street Boston MA 02116. I am on the second floor.

Q: Where is your studio located?

A: There is metered parking on Fairfield Street and typically if you go up Fairfield towards Beacon street you can find an open spot. There is also metered parking on the surrounding cross streets (Newbury, Gloucester and Essex Streets) and a parking garage a block from my studio on the corner of Essex and Newbury Streets (entrance on Essex Street just past the Nike Store).

Q: Is there parking available at your studio?

A: Lighter neutral colors like white, light grey, cream and tan photograph well in my all white studio. I suggest avoiding black and dark denim.

I have a studio wardrobe available for moms and babies.

Q: What should we wear for a studio session?

A: I accept a limited number of clients each month with appointments booking about two months in advance. Once booked, I will tentatively schedule your session for two weeks following your due date with an exact date and time to be finalized after your baby arrives. If you happen to have found me after your baby is born please reach out, I do sometimes have last minute openings if other babies arrive early or late.
